With the directly adjacent hotel lobby designed by the acclaimed Andrée Putman, the design upholds the unique character of the original aesthetic while adding a new sense of modern luxury to the hotel. Sculptural forms in the grand entry hall, reflective surfaces, and sophisticated lighting emphasize the richness of the space. A dramatic runway of mannequins runs down the center of the space creating a spine which guides the user through the entire depth of the store. Various partial height merchandise bays, defined by bronze glass fins, allow different collections to be displayed without obstructing sight lines. The palette includes soft, creamy-white lacquer, satin, brushed-nickel trim and pearlescent frosted glass emphasizing the subtle femininity of the space. A retail concept for national rollout was designed to showcase a fresh new aesthetic for Ann Taylor while maintaining the modern femininity, beauty, style and function of the brand's core values.
